Uneven lip contours, tiny vertical lines, undefined or colorless vermillion, very thin lips; Lip liner and full lip color treatments may be used to redress a number of these concerns. Color is selected to complement the client’s natural complexion: undertones and overtones.
Upon the initial service, the lips will appear plump and the color will be bright and prominent. However, this is a very temporary condition. The brightness of color results from the oxidation of the pigment, while the plumping is initial swelling. The color diminishes and fades within a few days to a very natural, but enhanced hue. The look of permanent lip color does not resemble freshly applied lipstick. However, lip color may be enhanced with an overlay of gloss or other color.
